Terps First Tailgate

So what's better, the tailgate or going to the game?  When your team wins, it's a toss up.  But when your team loses and you look back on it the next day, you'll probably more satisfied with the tailgate.  Luckily, we didn't have to worry about that this past weekend, but it certainly came close.

The University of Maryland opens its parking lots six hours before kickoff, so our tailgate crew was set up and ready to go at noon.  None of our Bubba Tailgating equipment had come yet, but we did okay with what we had from last year.  As the day got later the crowd got bigger and more meat was thrown on the grill and more empty cans of beer were thrown in the trash.  Finally, it was time to go to the game, which the Terps were supposed to win by a landslide since we were playing a Division I-AA team.  Well, we won, but it took a field goal in overtime to do it.  Of course, a win's a win, and I'll take 12 more just like it if need be.

Our Bubba Tailgating equipment is starting to arrive and our next tailgate will be in two Saturdays when the Terps face Rutgers.  We have season tickets, so look for a lot of photos and videos to start being posted the rest of the season!  FEAR THE TURTLE!
